In this class,Students will learn the fundamentals of rendering the human form in oil paint.  Working from a live model, students will create a series of works ranging from quick oil sketches to completed multi-session paintings, and will learn about introductory oil painting techniques, human anatomy, color mixing, translating color into value, and the transition of turning a drawing into a painting. Special emphasis will be placed on translating observation and experience into living expression in oil paint. Attention will be given to the problems inherent in oil painting. All of my classes are given in a closely led, supportive environment, and all levels and backgrounds of making are welcome.
