MKAC is offering an oil painting workshop for intermediate and advanced level students. The goal of this class is to go beyond photographic reference and learn to create paintings that are not a copy but a translation of the reference, that potentially reflects what you experienced from that moment. The paintings done in class will be studies, that can stand on their own as finished paintings but are overall learning experiences. Each class will start with a demo and discussion assessing the reference and sorting possibilities for approach.
