This class is for students who already have introductory-level drawing experience. The 8-week class will focus mainly on value studies and composition and will include a series of detail studies to better depict complex surfaces and structure. In this context, selection, suggestion, and simplification will be emphasized. We will be working primarily from still-life arrangements in a controlled light situation. Challenges related to image making in general will be discussed, and participants will be encouraged to share their knowledge and experience to benefit the class process.
